St Anselm's Catholic Primary School

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

St Anselm's Catholic Primary School PTA is a registered Charity dedicated to advancing the education of the pupils in the school in particular by developing relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school and by helping to provide new facilities and equipment through our fundraising.  We hold several regular fundraisers and social events each year as well as support annual school activities such as the Christmas Fun Afternoon, Theme Week and Sports Day.

All parents, guardians and carers of any pupil currently attending St Anselm's and all teaching and non teaching staff currently employed by the school are automatically members of the PTA.  The PTA meets twice a term and we encourage you to come along and get involved in the fundraising ideas and events that will benefit your children.  Meetings are posted in the school calendar.

Ways that you can help with fundraising

Easy Fundraising

Easyfundraising is an online shopping portal that turns your everyday online shopping into free donations for your favourite cause.

How?

All you need to do is head to this website to start your online shopping:

https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stanselmsprimary/

The retailers will then make a small donation to say “thank you”. There is an option within easy fundraising to add a reminder. If you do this, then every time you go to one of the nearly 4000 retailers signed up to Easy fundraising a pop up will enable you to activate the fundraising donation.

If you sign up by the end of 2019 using the below web address, we may be eligible for a £5 bonus per sign up once you have raised £5 for the cause.

AmazonSmile

St Anslem’s PTA is also a member of AmazonSmile which is a simple and automatic way for you to support a charity of your choice every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.co.uk, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as amazon.co.uk, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a 0.5% of the portion of the purchase price to St Anslem’s.

How do I shop at AmazonSmile?

To shop at AmazonSmile simply go to smile.amazon.co.uk from the web browser on your computer or mobile device and use your existing Amazon account details to sign in.

How do I select a charitable organisation to support when shopping on AmazonSmile?

On your first visit to smile.amazon.co.uk you need to select a charitable organisation to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. They remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.co.uk will result in a donation.

You can just click on this link which should take you directly to the St Anselm’s page.

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1170894-0

If for any reason this does not work then you will need to sign in to smile.amazon.co.uk on your desktop or mobile phone browser and simply select “Change your Charity” in “Your Account.” You will need to enter St Anselm's Catholic Primary School into the search and then you will be able to select us at your chosen charity.

Employer Donations Matching

Many large (and some not so large) organisations are willing to match your charitable donations and time spent on activity for a charity.

It is worth checking with your employer if this is something they offer.

If they do let us please contact Carole Pike who will be able to provide more information and help you to get this set up so that St Anselm’s can benefit.

We have included a separate list of the companies we know currently offer donations matching, but this isn’t exhaustive so if you aren’t sure then please do check with your employer.
