Safeguarding

The School's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Hattie Elwes

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Charlotte Patterson and Mary Carter.

Safeguarding processes were audited by an external consultant in September 2017.  The report states that:

'...observations, discussions and scrutiny of documents indicate that policies, practice and procedures are highly effective. Staff are very aware of their responsibilities. They are alert to and report any signs that might indicate a concern.' Mary Geddes

 

All staff receive regular safeguarding training.  Recent training has included

 

January 2019  NSPCC leading assemblies and workshops about 'Speak out. Stay safe!'

September 2019  Safeguarding refresher training for staff and governors

January 2020 Prevent training for all staff

February 2020 DSL training for three DSLs

February 2020 Safeguarding in schools training for all staff

 

Staff undertook a range of online safeguarding training during the two periods of school closure in 2020 and 2021, including FGM training

February 2021 Safeguarding in Schools training for all staff

 

The school works closely with external agencies such as The Education Welfare Service, Place2Be and Wandsworth  Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
